■ Development notes When you're in a tent and it gets dark, you sometimes need to find medicine, a toothbrush, or other small items. We thought: if at least the stuff sack itself glows, you can feel for it and find what's inside. That idea became a stuff sack with a glow-in-the-dark zip. The earliest prototypes had a flat zipper with the two sides stitched together, but the inside was hard to search for the amount of fabric used and the dead space bothered us — so we shifted to a three-dimensional pattern that's easier to reach into. The 2 L size came from the fact that 2 L is the volume that holds all the small items I take hiking — power bank, cables, headlamp, and so on. The zipper is glow-in-the-dark, which makes it much easier to find things in the tent at night. On a long trail you walk from sunrise to sunset, but it was common for us to finish walking right as the sun set. Looking for gear in the dim evening light, looking for gear after waking in the night — just being able to see the opening with the glow zipper means you can feel for what you need. Storage

Design

The interior is a simple pouch with no dividers. The three-dimensional pattern creates a banana shape that naturally allows the fabric to stand up. The inner edge-wrapping tape is colored to make the bottom easier to see, making packing and finding your belongings a breeze.

How to use 2L

This is a slightly larger 2L size. With 0.5L or 1L sizes, the weight of the stuff sack itself becomes a concern, so putting everything into a 2L size allows for fewer stuff sacks to be used. Mobile batteries and cables Headlights Small items
