■Specifications

Product name Lastbit Pouch

weight -
Material nylon
color Because we reuse leftover materials, changes will be made irregularly.
size 90mm (height), 135mm (width)

This product is a recycled item made from leftover fabric scraps. Therefore, the fabric color, specifications, and logo placement may be changed without notice.

■ Development Notes

It's just a pouch.

But this pouch is something I put a little extra thought into.

We reuse leftover fabric (last bit) generated during the production of backpacks and prototypes.
This product is made using leftover parts from backpacks that would otherwise be thrown away, making it a slightly (bit) eco-friendly item.

This became possible because MIYAGEN introduced a laser cutting machine.

With hand-drawn patterns, cutting efficiency inevitably decreases, resulting in slightly more fabric being used. With a laser cutter, however, I can now view the pattern beforehand and predict the amount of leftover fabric. By slightly adjusting the pattern, I can easily account for the space needed to create a pouch.

This pouch is made with my best efforts to minimize fabric waste, so that everyone can use it.

■Size

A palm-sized, simple, and not-too-small pouch.

Since we're using leftover scraps, the smaller the size, the easier it is to work with the fabric, but we tried to find a size that wouldn't make it difficult to use.

It's not too small, not too big, and is a size that can also be used as a wallet.

Examples of items to be stored

  • Credit card payment is generous.
  • 10,000 yen bills are stored folded in half.
  • The Shinkansen ticket can be stored as is.
  • USB adapter, cable, and a few other things (Anker 310 USB-C & Lightning Cable 1.8m and Anker 313 Charger (Ace, 45W))

■When using it as a wallet

The zipper is positioned for use as a wallet, with the lower section of the zipper at the same height as a card. Furthermore, the overall height of the pouch is the same as a banknote. Therefore, you can open the zipper, pick up a banknote, tilt the cards forward, and even though there are no dividers, you can put coins between the cards and banknotes.

We've basically entered a cashless era, and we rarely use cash anymore.

You can put a 10,000 yen bill and cards for emergencies inside, and store any change generated when using cash in the middle for minimal use.

■Design

The interior is a simple pouch with no dividers.

There's no particular reason, but I use waterproof zippers because they look good.

Loops are provided on both sides, allowing you to attach a strap or leash as you like.

The slider handle features a ribbon-style handle with the "MIYAGEN" logo. This component was specially made by a factory that produces world-renowned products. We will continue to use this component in our future products. While the ribbon pull tab is less durable than the resin type, its advantage is that it is easy to grip even when wet. It's a simple and appealing component with minimal bulk. I also like its slightly retro feel.

■ Notes about the product

  • Since we use leftover materials, the fabric and design may change without notice.
  • The fabric shown in the photo may be discontinued without notice and will no longer be available for purchase.
  • Specifications and usability may vary depending on the type of fabric.
