Development Story / 開発ストーリー
■ Development Notes While hiking the PCT, I saw many hikers using empty ice cream or peanut butter containers as tableware. I found them surprisingly convenient. However, because the ice cream containers couldn't withstand the high temperatures, it could only be eaten cold. I want a versatile container that can be used for both hot and cold drinks. Amidst all of this, we tested numerous polyethylene resin containers on the market that were scientifically stable and could withstand alcohol and other substances, and finally arrived at this container. These are common medicine containers, but there are countless factories in Japan that produce them. Some of them are imported from overseas, and some are not food-grade. We have selected containers from a trustworthy factory. I don't mind if the 110g canister gets dirty when it's left outside, but I don't want the container to get dirty. That's why I carefully checked the diameter to make sure it would fit into a cooker that was made to the same size as the 110g OD canister.

Design Concept / 設計コンセプト
Design
This container is a simple design consisting of a body, a lid, and a soft gasket. The diameter is the same as a 110-size OD canister, so it can be stored in any cookware. It is also dishwasher safe, allowing for hygienic use. The lid with a gasket prevents dust from entering and protects against evaporative cooling. This label is highly durable and can withstand high temperatures and humidity. Furthermore, the fact that the lid and container have the same diameter is an important design feature that makes stacking easy. I put the canister inside because I don't want it to get dirty, but I leave the OD can outside because it's okay if it gets dirty.

Cold soak (cold mule)
There were various names for it locally. Cold soaking (Cold-soaking, Cold-soak) Cold Meals This is a method of preparing dried food by soaking it in cold water, making it a delicious meal without using heat. When hiking, I often use this method because I want to lighten my heavy load as much as possible. Benefits of cold soaking: Your luggage will be lighter - you won't need to bring a stove or fuel. Easy to prepare - just add water and wait. Safety - Since no fire is used, there is less risk of fire, and wild animals such as bears are less likely to be attracted by the smell of food. Disadvantages of cold soaks: I can only eat cold food, so I miss warm meals. It's awful. Not all food tastes better with cold water. It may spoil. The biggest concern is the possibility of spoilage, but the biggest advantage is that it's easy to use and lightweight. Let's take on the challenge and do it at our own risk.

Caution / 注意事項
■ Precautions for use Due to the large diameter of the lid, there is a possibility that the gasket may become distorted beyond its tolerance limit when being carried. Please be very careful when filling with liquids. Oils, in particular, may leak. Food and liquids can seep under the gasket. To prevent mold growth, be sure to remove the gasket and wash it. The gasket is also dishwasher safe.
